Procedure
To apply, the applicant has to contact the Pest Control Products Board offices. http://www.pcpb.or.ke/contact.html
The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and it can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page or in the Application Form. http://www.pcpb.or.ke/appforms/Form_A_Application_For_Disposal_For_Commercial_Purpose.doc
Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page or at Pest Control Products Board fees page. http://www.pcpb.or.ke/fees.php
On completion of this process, the applicant will be given feedback by the Board

Instructions
Any person or institution desiring a licence for disposal of pest control products for commercial purposes shall apply to the Pest Control Products Board for a licence in the prescribed Form A http://www.pcpb.or.ke/appforms/Form_A_Application_For_Disposal_For_Commercial_Purpose.doc and shall be accompanied by the prescribed fees.

The Board approves an application made and issue a license if it is satisfied that:

the application contains the information required under the Regulations;
approved methods of disposal would be used or applied;
the applicant has sufficient expertise to dispose of the pest control products in question.
Where the Board does not approve an application it shall not be obliged to give any reason thereof.

The Board may attach to a licence such conditions as it deems fit.

No person or institution to which a licence has been issued shall lend, hire, sell, transfer or otherwise dispose of that licence to any person or institution without the approval of the Board, which approval shall be endorsed on the licence.

No person is allowed to dispose any pest control product or their containers in a manner that is detrimental to man, animal and the environment.

The use of any pest control product disposal method is approved by the Board subject to specific requirements laid down by the Board.

The transboundary movements of pesticides for disposal is subject to ratified conventions, protocols, treaties or agreements to which Kenya is a party.

Need for the Document
No person should carry out any disposal of pest control product or containers for commercial purposes unless that person or institution is in possession of a licence under the Regulations and all provisions of the Pest Control Products Act have been complied with.

Any person or institution desiring a licence for disposal of pest control products for commercial purposes should apply to the Pest Control Products Board for a licence.

Information which might help
The Board may cancel or suspend for a period it deems fit the licence issued under these Regulations if satisfied that:

the licensee, his servant or agent has been convicted of an offence under the Act; or
the licensee, his servant or agent has breached any of the terms or conditions of the licence; or
for any other reason, that it is in public interest to do so.
Before cancelling or suspending a licence under this Regulation, the Board shall give the licensee twenty-one days notice to show cause why the licence should not be cancelled or suspended and the Board s decision in the matter shall be final.

The Pest Control Products Board is a statutory organization of the Kenya Government established under the Pest Control Products Act, Cap 346, of the Laws of Kenya. The Board regulates the importation, exportation, manufacture, distribution, and use of Pest Control Products (Pesticides). The Board since establishment in 1984 has registered many pest control products, which are available to the public for use in public health, livestock, and agriculture.
