How to Obtain a Doctor or Dentist General Practice License in Kenya by Kenyans247(m): Thu Jan 2020 07:38am
The application should be made using the application form and attaching all the required documents.

The Council/Board after reviewing the application may authorize the Registrar to issue to a medical practitioner or a dentist who has applied in the prescribed form and whom the Council/Board considers has had suitable working experience in medicine or in dentistry, as the case may be, a license to engage in private practice on his own behalf as a private practitioner or to be employed, either whole time or part time, by a private practitioner.

The Registrar issues, on payment of the prescribed fee, a license in the prescribed form to persons who are authorized by the Council/Board.

The Board may refuse to issue or to renew a license to engage in private practice to any person and may withdraw a license it has issued.

No premises may be habitually used for the purposes of private practice unless they are authorized for such use by the Council/Board.

A person aggrieved by a decision of the Council/Board may appeal to the High Court, and in any such appeal the High Court may annul or vary the decision as it thinks fit.
