Requirements for a good streaming:

- Broadcasting software
- Broadband Internet
- Computer
- USB/VGA cable
- RTMP Software

When you have all these requirements ready with you, you can start streaming your live video using your camcorder by following these simple steps:

1. Either install a live streaming service software or use an online live streaming service with no download required.

2. Create a new account and a broadcasting channel using that software.

3. Install a RTMP that would stabilize the drops in the bandwidth even during the streaming process. Some of the best RTMP software can be mentioned as Wirecast, Tricaster, Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, Vidblaster.

4. Now lay your camcorder on a stable place or a tripod for a clear streaming, Note that there is enough lights on the field.

5. Connect your camcorder to the computer with the VGA or USB cable.

6. Configure the video streaming settings to high quality in the RTMP application.

7. Switch on the power button of your camcorder to start streaming and also for a clear and high quality video check if there is required lights in the field.

8. Go live broadcasting the video by clicking on the start broadcasting button on the software.

The typical way:

-PC or laptop, can be any OS. USB3 may be required as well as internet comnection.

-Capture card with HDMI input. Cheaper ones might only support limited resolutions or frame rates, so see what you can settle for.

-Any camcorder that outputs through HDMI.

-Streaming software. OBS is my choice.

These days they are coming out with camcorders that are ready to stream straight from the camera, though the drawbacks will obvously be a lack of presentation, without overlays or the ability of multi cam setups. Check out the HC X90

How to Stream Live Video From a Camcorder

Step 1:

Install video streaming software onto your computer. There are several online resources, such as StreamHash, UStream and LiveStream, that allow you to download and install broadcasting software for free. Alternatively, use online resources, such as Just In TV, Blog TV and StickAM, that do not require a software download.

Step 2:

Open the broadcasting software program. Walk through the setup wizard to create a new account and broadcasting channel.

Step 3:

Install an RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) publishing application onto your computer. This application ensures your video streams remain stable and steady, even during excessive drops in bandwidth. Examples of RTMP publishing software available to download and install for free as of the date of publication include Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, Vidblaster, Tricaster and Wirecast.

Step 4:

Place your camcorder on a tripod to keep it stable. To prevent dark video footage, position the camera in a room that is well-lit.

Step 5:

Plug one end of your USB cable into the camcorder's USB port. Plug the other end of the cable into your computer's USB port. If your camcorder has a VGA port instead of a USB port, you can still connect it to your computer via a VGA cable.

If your computer does not have a VGA port, purchase a VGA-to-USB converter from a local electronics retailer. This allows you to plug the VGA cable into your computer's USB port.

Step 6:

Open the RTMP application on your computer. Configure the video streaming settings to high quality. The exact method to configure your settings vary by application.

Step 7:

Power on your camcorder. Ensure you are in a room that is well-lit, as your video footage will appear too dark otherwise.

Step 8

Start broadcasting your live video. To do this, click the broadcast button, located within the broadcasting software program. The button may read "Go Live," "Broadcast Now" or "Broadcast," depending upon the software you are using.
