Registering with Pest Control Products Board is a simple process and most companies find it beneficial not to engage a local agent to take care of the bureaucratic procedures and any communication issues.
Fill up the application form from the Pest Control Product Board Office.
Submit form along with all the required documents.
Once your application is approved you will received a Certificate evidencing registration with the pest control product board.
An applicant for a manufacturer outside Kenya must file evidence of Power of Attorney from the manufacture which authorizes him to speak for his principal on all matters relating to the latters specialties. The original Power of Attorney is to be notarized in the country of origin by a Notary Public and submitted to PCPB Or Contract Manufacturing Agreement (where applicable). This should be notarized in the country of origin by a Notary Public and submitted to Pest control product Board and The Registrar of Pharmacy and Poisons Board (RPPB).

Proof of ISO quality system certification (for sterile products)
Certificate of Free Sale.
Description and intended use of your Pesticide or insecticide.
Declaration of Conformity certificate
Clinical data, test reports, and other data to support the safety and efficacy of the device, as required by the laws in Kenya.

To be able to register with the Pest Control Product Board you must be either :
A manufacturer,Importer,Exporter,Distributor or a user of pest control products in Kenya.
If you manufacturer outside Kenya you must appoint an authorized Representative in kenya.
The required fees for the document is Kshs.2000 .
valid for 3 years and renewal is done every 2 years.
Processing takes 30 working days
Applications are distributed at the Pest control product board - Register at the ministry of Health in Kenya.

Need for the Document
When dealing with import and/or export of pest control substances, it is required that you register with the PCPB. The PCPB offices are based at KARI Headquarters on Waiyaki Way.
The Pest Control Products Board is a Statutory organization of Kenya Government established under an Act of parliament, the Pest Control Products Act, Cap 346, Laws of Kenya of 1982 to regulate the importation and exportation, manufacture, distribution and use of pest control products.
PCPB was established under the Pest Control Products Act (Cap 346). Its functions are to regulate the importation, exportation, manufacture, distribution and use of products used for the control of pests.
The mission of Pest Control Products Board is to provide an efficient and effective regulatory service for importation, exportation, manufacture, distribution, transportation, sale, disposal and safe use of pest control products and mitigate potential harmful effects to the environment.
