Do you think that Netflix movies are ruining the art of cinema and why? by Kenyans247(1): Wed 29, April, 2020 06:27am
Quite the contrary, Netflix movies are the art of cinema.

I mean seriously, films with that red N in the top left are an absolute treasure trove.

These are some of the best films ever created, all made possible due to money that Netflix gave them. All brought to a wider audience due to the exposure that Netflix gave them.

Sure. There’s irredeemable shit. Bird Box, Tall Girl, and The Kissing Booth are just some examples of Netflix films that don’t deserve to exist.

However, there’s also Okja, Roma, Atlantics, Marriage Story, The Meyerowitz Stories, On Body and Soul, The Other Side of the Wind, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Laundromat, High Flying Bird, Happy as Lazaro, and The Irishman.

What a wealth of names that is. Bong, Cuarón, Baumbach, The Coens, Soderbergh, and Scorsese.

These are films that have taken home major prizes at all the worlds major film awards. From Atlantics’ Grand Prix (Cannes), to On Body and Soul’s Golden Bear (Berlinale), and Roma’s Best Director (Oscars).

Every movie I listed is amazing. Very few of the movies I listed would have reached half the audience they did without Netflix.

Netflix isn’t destroying cinema, it’s saving it.

Nope, I don't think. Actually Netflix is just a way to watch movies, dramas and some other entertainment objects. But it can't ruin the film industry.
