De Bruyne's corner is hit straight at Dubravka, who gathers comfortably.

City hit Newcastle on the counter using Ederson as a springboard. Mahrez bounces off Yedlin and shoots, but Dubravka makes the save.
Manchester City are bossing the early possession, which is expected under Pep Guardiola.
Foden drifts forward and fires across Dubravka, but his effort goes wide of the target. Did that take a deflection off a defender? It's not quite clear. Newcastle have been awarded the goal-kick.
GOAL, CITY, MAHREZ! 2-0: Mahrez has looked threatening all game, and he gets his reward. It's all too similar to the first goal. Foden finds de Bruyne, who cuts back for Mahrez, who sweeps home!
Mahrez now looks to tee up Gabriel Jesus for City's third goal, but the ball deflects behind off an opponent.
It's time for a drinks break with Manchester City very much in the ascendancy.
The match is back underway at the Etihad Stadium.

Otamendi makes an unconvincing clearance, but deals with the pressure nevertheless.
Foden has a crack at goal, looking to capitalise on some woeful defending from Newcastle, but he misses the target.
Newcastle look to counter following a City corner. Foden wins the ball back and City work it to Otamendi in the danger area. His header is a weak one and Dubravka holds on.
HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 2-0 NEWCASTLE UNITED. City head into the break firmly in control of this game thanks to goals from Jesus and Mahrez.

Manchester City are purring. Premier League victory is out of the question, but they look hell-bent on gathering momentum as they compete for the remaining honours on offer this season. Sterling and Bernardo replace Foden and Jesus.
GOAL, CITY, SILVA! 4-0: Silva's stunning free-kick finds the back of the net. He curls it over the wall and past Dubravka, who stands rooted to the spot. Perhaps the 'keeper could have done better.
David Silva puts in a clumsy challenge on Schar. With that, it's time for a drinks break. Gayle, Longstaff, and Manquillo are on for Joelinton, Shelvey and Lazaro.

Doyle has a go at goal, but it's a weak effort and rolls into the grasp of Dubravka.
