Biden is also reducing the gap between him and Trump in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, with only about 150,000 behind, compared to nearly half a million yesterday. About 89 percent of the votes have been counted and pundits say Biden could easily win the state as per latest trends.

This is the result of the counting of the postal ballots in Pennsylvania, which the Trump camp has decried as being not just unreliable, but also "a fraud on the nation".

There is little evidence of widespread rigging through postal ballots.
