The number of Covid-19 cases in the country on Sunday hit 62,388 after 719 more people tested positive.

A statement by health CS Mutahi Kagwe said the new cases were from a sample of 4,732 tested in the last 24 hrs.

The country's cumulative tests now stand at 742,481.

From the new cases, 685 are Kenyans while 34 are foreigners with 451 being males while 268 females.

The youngest is a five-month-old baby while the oldest is 81 years old.

Nairobi leads with 333 cases followed bgy Mombasa with 84 cases, Busia with 50- cases, Kiambu 45 cases, Turkana 33, Kajiado 24, Kitui 21, Nyeri and Garissa each 2o cases
