Bassa APC Chairmanship flag bearer tasks youths in the area on taking vantage of FG empowerment schemes as polls draws closer

The Bassa Local Government Area's All Progressive Congress (APC) chairmanship flag bearer Hon. Mohammed Muktar Shuaibu also known as MMS has tasked youths in the area to make seize the windows of sundry empowerments made available for youths in the country to get financial and skill acquisition empowerments in areas of interest.


Shuaibu made the call on Monday 16 November 2020 at his residence in Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State-Nigeria while speaking with the Africa Security Investigation online newspaper correspondent, a grassroot Security and investigative concern media organization with its headquarters in Abuja-Nigeria.


Muktar, speaking further, pointed out reasons why youths in the area should utilize the opportunity given them by the federal government stating that the Buhari led administration is a youth-friendly government.


Outlining the youth-related initiatives and schemes by the government, Muktar stated that the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) registration is still ongoing, Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme, P-YES, which would be empowering Seven hundred and Seven four thousand (774,000) youths in the country will commence in the next few weeks in which each local government in the country would be saddled with one thousand (1,000) beneficiaries.


Earlier, the government has assured Nigerian youths of grassroots implementation of its several programs aimed at youths in the country.

It is also worthy of note that the federal government for the P-YES program, has set aside one hundred billion (100 billion) and seventy-five billion (75 billion) for the NYIF program, respectively.

Hon. Muktar applauding the FG thanked His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State for all his good works in transforming the state and retiring insecurity to a standstill.


Urging the youths in the area, he charged them to come out in mass on the 12th of December 2020 to cast their votes peacefully stressing that all diasporans under or not in his support group known as Bassa L.G.A Diasporans for Muktar should return home and ensure that they cast their votes.

Reacting to a question in regards to what the people in the local government should expect in his administration if given the mandate, he stated that his party has a sound blueprint and a very clear and ever simplify road map that would make Bassa Local Government Area great again.
"You can bank on us", he passionately assured.
