The Executive Chairman, Bassa Local Government area of Kogi State, Hon. Mohammed Muktar Shuaibu has sent a message of Felicitation to Christians on the Celebration of this year’s Christmas celebration.

The Chairman in a message he signed and made available to Africa Security Investigation online news magazine, today 25 December, 2020 urged Christians in the area to use this special occasion which commemorates the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ for fervent prayers, selfless services for humanity, peace, unity and love for one another.

Hon. Muktar said, this year's Celebration calls for a renewed commitment to making humanity great, pointing out that the Celebration calls for citizens to show love and kindness to one another through sacrificial giving.


He, however, tasked Christians on the need to be their brother’s keeper, stressing that the season is an opportunity availed to practicalising love and care.

Nevertheless, Muktar called for Prayers for the local government saying 2020 is undeniably hard and challenging for our nation because of the ravaging scourge of COVID-19 amidst other economic and security challenges.
