Apple iBook G3/900 (Early 2003 - Op) Specs by Kenyans247(1): Sat 26, December, 2020 01:56pm
The iBook G3/900 (Early 2003 - Opaque White), features a 900 MHz PowerPC 750fx (G3) processor with a 512k "on chip" level 2 cache, 128 MB of RAM, a 40.0 GB Ultra ATA hard drive, a tray-loading 8X/24X/10X/24X DVD-ROM/CD-RW "Combo" drive, 2X AGP ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 graphics with 32 MB of VRAM, and optional AirPort (802.11b) packed into a compact opaque white case with a 12.1" TFT XGA active matrix display (1024x768 native resolution).

The iBook (Early 2003 - Opaque) models are very similar to the Late 2002 models before them, so much so that Apple did not issue a new press release for this line.

In particular, the iBook G3/900 (Early 2003 - Opaque White) is quite similar to the iBook G3/800 (32 VRAM/Late 2002) from the previous series, but the "Opaque White" model shipped in an opaque white case instead of a translucent white one and was equipped with a faster processor, a larger hard drive (40 GB instead of 30 GB), and an optical drive that writes CDs more quickly but reads DVDs more slowly.

To purchase or upgrade a PowerPC Mac -- as well as newer Macs -- see site sponsor Operator Headgap Systems. OHS has low prices, a warranty, and personal support.

Despite the age of this system, site sponsor Other World Computing has RAM, hard drives, SSDs, and other upgrades available for this specific Mac while supplies last.
