Leading gaming company Mozzart on Thursday, January 14, donated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) medical equipment worth Ksh1.5 million to the Nyamache Sub County Referral Hospital in Kisii as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative dubbed “Supporting our healthcare facilities.”

The donated equipment included hospital beds, patient monitors, oxygen concentrators and bedside trolleys.

“God has given man the opportunity to serve man and we thank Mozzart so much for these very vital donations. Our nurses, doctors and all staff are very thankful. They will go a long way in improving service delivery in this hospital and Kisii in general,” Dr Kimutai Cheruiyot, the Deputy Director of Medical Services in Kisii County said.“We are in very difficult times and we thank the Mozzart team for choosing us as a beneficiary of their great CSR initiative. This hospital serves very many people in the region and there was a genuine need for these facilities.

"We will now bring key medical services closer to the people as they don’t have to travel far away and this is great,” Dr Kevin Mutonga who is in charge of Nyamache Sub County Referral Hospital added.

Mozzart Kenya’s Marketing Manager Frank Ochieng' reiterated the company’s mission to empower Kenyan communities.

“As a way of showing support to our healthcare professionals and to the great people of Kenya, Mozzart has been giving back to the society and we are not stopping. When Covid-19 struck last year, we gave a donation of assorted medical equipment essential in the fight against the pandemic worth Ksh10 million. The donations were made to some 10 major hospitals in 10 different counties across Kenya,” he said.
