Nigeria: NYC lauds Gov. Mai Mala Buni over 233 students' scholarship to India by Daudupress(1): Fri 29, January, 2021 11:16am |
The Nigerian Youth Congress, NYC, has commended the Yobe State governor over the sponsorship of 233 Youths that will depart Nigeria tomorrow to study Petroleum Engineering, Operation Theatre, Renal Dialysis, Medicine, Anesthesia, Cardiac Technology, Pharmacy, others at Indian University. The foreign scholarship is an initiative of Gov. Mai Mala Buni, a scheme that covers visa, tuition, accommodation, feeding, books, travels, and pocket stipend for all awardees who are children of the poor selected across Yobe communities by the governor in 2020. The President, Nigerian Youth Congress, Blessing Akinlosotu made the commendation in a press release made available to journalists today in Abuja. Akinlosotu pointed out that the governor has shown commitment to education and love for the youths in the state. Speaking further, he said, "Governor Mai Mala Buni has done what no other governor has done in the history of Nigeria. It is a landmark achievement that would retire huge returns on investment in the nearest future". To the privileged youths, Akinlosotu advised them to focus on the reasons why they are going to India and should work hard so that they can make their state and Nigerians proud". 0 Shares 0 Like •
