What are the risks of laser resurfacing? by Annaroy(2): Mon 16, August, 2021
Redness, swelling and itching- For your information, let us tell you that laser resurfacing treatment can cause swelling on your face, while itching can also cause red marks, which can last for several months, which are definitely visible. . will not feel good

Acne- Applying thick creams and bandages to your face after treatment may cause acne or you may temporarily develop small white spots (milia) on the treated skin.

Infection- Ablative laser resurfacing can lead to bacterial, viral or fungal infections. Let us tell you that the most common infection in this too is an outbreak of herpes virus - the virus that causes cold sores. In most cases, the herpes virus is already present in our skin but is dormant.

Changes in skin color – Sometimes an infection can cause your skin to be darker (hyperpigmentation) or lighter (hypopigmentation) after laser resurfacing in the weeks following laser resurfacing. On the other hand, people whose skin color is already darker, permanent changes in skin color are more in them.

Scarring – Ablative laser resurfacing carries a slight risk of permanent scarring. Therefore it is a bit serious to do this treatment on the lower surface of the eyelids. This has rarely happened. But the danger is not only in ablative laser resurfacing; Nonablative lasers can also cause these side effects.
