61st Independence: Dr. Raymond Edoh lauds Nigeria government urges youth to support government programs and policies by Daudupress(1): Sat 02, October, 2021

The Ambassador of Nigerian Youth to the United States and Secretary-General, Nigerian Youth Congress, NYC, Dr. Raymond Edoh has called on the youths to key into government programs and policies, pointing out that by so doing, the government would be encouraged to do more.

Dr. Raymond Edoh made this known in a congratulatory message to President Muhammadu Buhari as the country under his administration clocks its 61st Independence.

According to the message which was signed by his media Director, Emmanuel Daudu, Edoh further urged Nigerian youth to imbibe the culture of appreciating the government for no matter how little a thing they do.

"The truth remains that we can't fight the government. No one can fight a sitting government and succeed. No matter what we think we are going through, it is still far better than the military regime. We shouldn't forget that the worst of democracy is far better than military rule. With this knowledge, we should learn how to complement the government and let go of their shortcomings and on the other hand celebrate them when where they do well", he said.

Speaking further, Dr. Raymond Edoh congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari while celebrating with all Nigerians on its 61st Independence day celebration.

" I congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari for his giant stride and concern for the Nigerian youth. You have shown yourself to be a father to the youth by rolling out more than sixteen different programs for the youths in your administration".

Outlining the programs, "
N-Power, Youth Fintech, Public Works Scheme, N75 Billion Nigerian Youth investment Fund (NYIF), Farmer Moni, Trader Morn, and Market Moni, DY.NG (Digital Youth Nigeria), Mobile Device Repair Training Scheme, Establishment of $20 Million Fund for Nigerian Tech Innovators and Entrepreneurs (NTIE), Graduate Internship Scheme (Gis) 14. Youth Entrepreneurship Support Programme (Yes-P), National Young Farmers Scheme (NYFS), Development of the Nigerian Creative Industries, Fashion and Beauty Sector, Entrepreneurship Training Programme, A GREEN STIMULUS PLAN, Capacity building workshops on energy efficiency and empowerment programmes for wealth and job creation in the 6 Geo-Political zones, DEEL: Digital Youth Nigeria (DYng) programme Specific focus on positioning youth for remote Job opportunities, tapping into the global technology market, DEEL: Work Experience Programme (Employability) in 6 Geo-Political zones, Provision of equipment for Youth Development Centres, digital Skills Training, Robotics Laboratories in 6 Geo-Political zones, Provision of 300,000 homes to be built by young architects/engineers, Provision of 5000,000 solar home systems installation by youth-owned businesses
, Buhari Young Formers Network (BYFN) and several others.
Of a truth, no government had done this massive as President Buhari", he added.

However, he urged the government to do more and resiliently fight insecurity that has been ravaging the country, stressing that the youths are at the receiving end because, with insecurity, economic activities will collapse thereby rendering the youths jobless.
