On this post, we look at how to pay for your DStv subscription via Mpesa in Kenya as of 2019. This is a Multichoice owned Pay TV service that was launched in Kenya in February 1995. Since then DStv has grown to be the number one hub for watching football matches, movies, and music videos. Thanks to their wide range of channels and high definition content. Being a Pay TV service, you have to renew your subscription monthly.

DStv has 5 packages on their subscription list; Acess, Family, Compact, Compact Plus, and Premium. DStv Acess costs Ksh 950 per month with more than 70 channels, DStv Family costs Ksh 1,900 per month with more than 86 channels, DStv compact costs Ksh 3,200 per month with more than 105 channels, DStv Compact Plus costs Ksh 5,200 per month while DStv premium costs Ksh 7,900 per month with an access to more than 127 channels.

To pay for your monthly DStv subscription using Mpesa, all you need to have is your smartcard number (account number) and Multichoice’s paybill number (444900).

Make sure that your decoder is on before making the payment to avoid error e16-4.
