|How to Create Calendar Events from Mail on iPhone and iPad by Sande(m): Wed Sep 2019 08:25am|
If you receive an email that includes a date and time, the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad can recognize it as an appointment request. Here’s how to create a calendar event from an email.
The Mail app on iPhone and iPad includes Siri Intelligence technology which can automatically analyze a message on your device to find an appointment.
This feature works with both natural language, and the traditional date and time structure. For example, if you get an email that says, “Let’s meet for lunch this Saturday at 1 p.m.,” the Mail app recognizes the day of the week, the date, and time.
To create a calendar event, open the email with the appointment request in the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad. You see the date and time are underlined. You might also see a banner at the top of the email that says, “Siri found 1 event.”
Tap “Add” in the banner or tap the underlined text.
