- Lwam was legally married to Fidel and had a son together - Fidel passed on in January 2015 and Lwam went to court to make grant of representation of her late husband's estate
- Ida and Winnie accuse Lwam of leaving them out of Fidel's estate besides excluding twins the latter had gotten with another woman - Lwam accused Ida of of defaming her and dismissed claims she had failed to disclose all of Fidel's assets and liabilities The succession of Opposition leader Raila Odinga’s son Fidel Castro’s estate has pitted family members against each other in an ugly court confrontation. Fidel passed away on January 4, 2015 and leaving behind a widow, Lwam Getachew Bekele who they had gotten a son together.
