"From where I sit, I have sufficient job on my table to want to focus on that (the murder plot allegations). I don’t want to be disrupted. If this was one of the schemes for disruption, I am sorry. I have a job to do," she said. The Cabinet members were summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to record statements in connection with the allegations but they declined and asked the DP to make a formal complaint against them first. "It is a serious allegation, especially coming from the deputy president who is occupying a powerful office in this land. I would expect somebody in that office to do proper investigations before making unsubstantiated and wild allegations of that nature. I think it is irresponsible, unfair and it intended to portray us in very bad light so that we look like criminals. It is also intended to injure our reputation," Munya said.
