|How do you compare Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Uganda by Kenyans247(m): Thu Jan 2020 08:52am|
The Human Development Index ( HDI) is a good measure for quality of life, which translates into economic development.
These are their respective HDI for each country: Kenya: 0.590; Tanzania: 0.538; Ethiopia: 0.463 ; Uganda: 0.516; and Somalia comes at the lowest.
List of African countries by Human Development Index -
Kenya, the most sophisticated and technology capital in our region. Hardworking and most entrepreneurial people in the region. Only if their politicians were to get their acts together in terms of corruption.
Ethiopia, the manufacturing country in the region. They have a similar development model to the Chinese model in the 70’s and 80’s.
Tanzania, the most stable and politically stable country in the region.

Ethiopia, the manufacturing hub of Africa.
