How is the nightlife in Kampala, Uganda? by Kenyans247(1): Thu Jan 2020 10:33am
Kampala is a very busy city at night. There are several night clubs especially in Industrial area on 2nd Street.

There are also some city suburbs where night hang outs operate 24 hours. Some of these are found in wandegeya near Makerere University just about 2kms from the city centre, Kansanga and Kabalaga on Gabba Road, Makindye especially near the Military police barracks, Bugolobi and some few areas in Ntinda.

Transport is by Boda bodas (motor cycles), and spcial hire cars. These are found near the happening places and are not expensive.

Security is reasonably good. people move throughout the whole night undisturbed although just like any other city in the world one needs to be careful and mind his personal security alot.

People are quite friendly and will direct you incase you cannot find the place you were looking for.

Ladies of the night are also in abundance. You will find some in the city centre on Speke Road, Shimoni Rd just outside Serena Hotel, wandegeya in several places, Kabalagala especially around Capital Pub,Kansanga at Deuces near Kampala International University and Makindye just outside the military Police barracks.

There are also quiet places like bog hotels where one can go and be entertained from.

If devout Christian there are many places of worship where there are overnight prayers especially on Fridays. churches will be filled with people worshipping their God with good music.
